Job Openings:

PART TIME ASSISTANT TO THE EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR - TLC is now hiring a part time Assistant to the Executive Director.  This position will either office out of the new Humble location or out Tomball location and reports directly to the ED.  Responsibilities will include but are not limited to the following:

Bookkeeping:  Maintain Quickbooks - Keep accounts current and balanced, reconcile credit card payments, ensure all expenses are documented with digital receipts, ensure all accounts are reconciled by the 6th of each month for the Accountant.  Accounts Payable – Keep vendor information current, pay manual bills with corporate card.  Send monthly donation letters and annual donation statements.

Payroll/Personnel:  Process new hire and termination paperwork.  Process payroll twice a month.

Compliance:  Keep License Info Current with all with federal/state agencies and vendors.  Record storage maintenance.

Meetings:  Coordinate our virtual schedule and conference rooms.

Annual Conference:  Aid in setting up and coordinating annual conference.  Including approaching businesses for donations, coordinating speakers, and attending meetings with the Director.

Required Skills:  Proficient in Quickbooks online, Proficient in Excel, Proficient in Word, Can work independently but not afraid to ask questions or escalate a potential problem/issue, Good customer service skills.

Hours:  Monday through Saturday from 10am to 2pm.  Some weekend shifts may be required for the conference.  Salary will be determined by the level of experience.  We are very flexible on salary.

This position can be full time if the candidate is willing to learn to do other things.  This is a new position and the candidate will be expected to be flexible as we develop the job duties.  We are starting with 20 hours per week.  Hours may increase or decrease as the position develops.  We are confident the duties list will likely take around 20 hours per week as stated in this job description.  We will also entertain a 4 day work week with longer hours or shifting hours around.  This job is ideal for someone with a child in school.
